Standout Courtney Janecek Signs with Bobcats
(Peru, NE)
PSC Head Coach Maurtice Ivy has announced that
Millard West standout Courtney Janecek has signed an
NAIA Letter of Intent to play basketball for the
Bobcats. Janecek was a member of three straight
District Championship teams at Millard West with the
2007-08 squad finishing as State Class A Runners-up.
MW was a state semi-finalist in 2005-06.
The 6'0" Janecek averaged 6.3 ppg and 1.6 apg this
past season while shooting 52% from the field in
being named All-Metro and All-State Honorable
Mention. Janecek is #1 all-time at Millard West in
free throw shooting percentage (77.2%) and this past
season led the state of Nebraska while shooting
85.7% from the charity stripe.
"Courtney is a solid post player that is a hard
worker defensively and has nice touch around the
basket," said Ivy. She has a wonderful attitude
about the game and is going to be a great addition
to our team."
