York upsets Bobcats 5-3 in MCAC tournament

Parkville, MO- York College (12-23), the #4 seed entering the MCAC tournament, tallied five runs in the third inning and made them stand in eliminating the Bobcats 5-3 in semi-final action Saturday in Parkville. The Bobcats (25-22 overall) now await the decision of the Region committee whether or not they will advance to region competition.

The Bobcats were held to only five hits in the contest with Jen Siedlik (Omaha) leading the charge going 2-for-2. The 'Cats were unable to take advantage of seven free passes by York pitching, however, York turned the tables scoring three of their runs via Bobcat errors and walks in the fateful third inning. Lauren Fiori (Colorado Springs, CO) went the distance for PSC in the circle scattering eight hits in taking the loss.
