NFCA Names 2007 All-Academic Teams,
Bobcats are Fourth in Rankings
The
National Fastpitch Coaches Association announced
today the 2007 All-Academic teams, based on
cumulative grade-point averages submitted by NFCA
member head coaches for the 2006-2007 academic year.
The University of Rio Grande led all four-year
colleges for the second-straight year as the NAIA
program claimed a 3.648 cumulative grade-point
average.
The Peru
State Bobcats softball team finished in the #4 spot
for NAIA schools with a team GPA of 3.491. "I am
very proud of the team for earning this high of a
national ranking," said Bobcats head coach Mark
Mathews. "The players have demonstrated that you can
combine excellence in the classroom with excellence
on the field."
PSC's
"Campus of a Thousand Oaks," an arboretum campus, is
nestled in historic southeast Nebraska. The state's
first and fastest-growing college, Peru State offers
a unique mix of innovative online and traditional
classroom undergraduate and graduate programs,
including online graduate degrees in education and
organizational management. PSC is a member
