Season at Peru: 4th

Murray starts his fourth season as Head Coach for Women’s Cross Country.  Murray understands being competitive. As captain of both the track and cross country teams at Rowan, Murray held the school record in the outdoor mile, indoor mile, indoor 1000, and also set the cross country course record. “The season’s short, but the training is year-round,” he said. “It literally takes years to build a great cross country runner. 

Murray previously taught dance and physical education at Metro State College of Denver in Denver, CO. He also taught physical education at the University of Northern Colorado in Greeley, CO.  

Murray received his Doctor of Education degree in Educational Leadership and Change from Fielding Graduate University in Santa Barbara, CA, a Master of Arts degree in Dance from Brigham Young University in Provo, UT, and a Master of Arts degree in Great Books from St. John’s College in Santa Fe, NM. He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Physical Education from Rowan University in Glassboro, NJ.
